Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is one of the smallest parks at 395 sq km, but it sits close to the border of Tanzania and provides stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro as well as being reknowned for its elephant poulations. Wildebeest, impala and zebra can also be seen grazing n the large plains.

Lake Nakuru
In season this national park is home to around 2 million flamingos. The park is also a sanctuary for white and black rhino as well as rothschild giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and impala.
Masai Mara National Reserve
An impressive feature is the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from the plains of the Serengeti that cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara's lush grassland from late June, hunted by the predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena and circled by vultures as the journey unfolds. Their dramatic river crossings are a reality for tourists visiting in July - August.
At this time of the year you will see a large number of lion, hippo, crocodile and vultures all of which prey on the weak and young migrating animals. Other game to be found in the Masai Mara at any time of the year include; elephants, cheetahs, baboons, gazelles, giraffes, jackals, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, water buffalo, ostriches, and a large variety of antelope and birdlife.

Mombabsa
This is Kenya's oldest city dating back to 500BC. It is an island city connected to the mainland by ferries and bridges. It has a large Asian poulation and is stringly Islamic. It was formerly one of the main trading points on the continent. Main palce to visit is the imposing Fort Jesus, built in the 16th century by the Portugese, the buildlig is now a museum displying national artefacts.

Nairobi
When railway construction workers reached this area in 1899, they set up a basic camp and supply depot, simply called 'Mile 327'. The local Maasai called this highland swamp Ewaso Nai'beri - the place of cold water. The City is now the largest between Johannesburg and Cairo and is the hub of East Africa.
Places to visit include the National Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, McMillan Memorial Library, Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Parliament Buildings, Nairobi National Park, the Snake Park, National Museum, Bomas of Kenya (for traditional dancing and tribal villages) & Nairobi Races (hose racing on Sundays).
Samburu National Reserve
The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife, Buffalo Springs records over 365 species of bird. Game viewing and visibility is excellent: Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, elephant, oryx, Somali Ostrich, hippo, crocodile, gerenuk, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena.
