Getting There

By Air

Air Malawi is the National airline.  The main international airport is Lilongwe (LLW), which is 26 km from the city. Both buses and taxis are available to the city.

By Road

There are road connections to Mozambique via Mwanza and Chiponde.  with Tanzania and with Zambia at Chipata.  The translux bus service runs from Johannesburg to lilongwe.
