Black River
is a district of Mauritius on the western side of the island. Famous areas include Tamarin Falls and the Chamarel coloured Earth. It is the third largest District of Mauritius in area, but the smallest in terms of population. It contains much of Mauritius' unique tropical forests, including those found in the Black River Gorge.

is a small seaside village on the west coast to the south of Port Louis.

Situated on the north of the island Grand Bay is a village in one of the more touristy areas of the island.

Situated in the Black River area of Mauritius. this is a good place to explore the south west area of the island.

Again situated in the south west of the island Le Morne is a world wide destination for windsurfing and kite surfing.

Situated on the north coast this village has beautiful beaches.

Near to Grand Bay in the north of the island. Pereybere is part of Mauritius' main resort area

Situated just north of Port Louis the capital

Port Louis
is the capital city of Mauritius and the only city on the island.

Quatre Bornes
is one of the larger towns on Mauritius and is 14 km from Port Louis.
