Sudan is situated in North East Africa, it is the largest country in Africa.  To the north is Egypt, to the east the Red Sea, Eritrea, and Ethiopia.  To the south is Kenya, Uganda and the democratic Republic of Congo.  To the south west the Central African republic, to the direct west Chad, and to the northwest Libya.
