Day 1 Khama Rhino Sanctuary Botswana
Heading north, we cross into Botswana and spend the first night camping at the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. (D)
Day 2 Maun Botswana
We depart for Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. (BD)
Days 3 & 4 Okavango Delta Botswana
Today we head off into the wilderness of the Delta, exploring the pristine waterways by mokoro (traditional dugout canoes) and search for wildlife on game walks, returning to Maun on the last afternoon. You also have the option of a game flight over the Delta. (BLD)
Day 5 Chobe National Park Botswana
We travel north to Kasane and camp on the edge of the Chobe National Park. Time is spent relaxing or enjoying an optional river cruise. (BD)
Days 6, 7 & 8 Livingstone/ Victoria Falls Zambia Up at daybreak we venture out on an open vehicle game drive into the Chobe National Park. Crossing into Zambia by ferry, we set up camp in Livingstone and head out on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi. Time is spent at your leisure, taking in the stunning scenery of Victoria Falls or braving the many optional activities on offer such as white water rafting, bungy jumping, canoeing, microlighting and more. Day 9 Luangwa Bridge Zambia
Heading north through rural Zambia, we spend the night camping on the banks of the Luangwa River. Enjoying the magnificent sunset over the river, we relax at the campsite bar. (BLD)
Day 10 Lilongwe Malawi
We make our way through Zambia into Malawi the warm ‘Heart of Africa’. We spend the afternoon exploring the colourful and vibrant markets of Lilongwe, experiencing the cultural blend of ancient and modern Africa. (BLD)
Days 11, 12 & 13 Lake Malawi Malawi
Setting up camp on the shores of Lake Malawi, our time is spent exploring this large fresh water Lake. Snorkelling and scuba diving the Lake gives us an opportunity to discover the 500 species of colourful tropical fish. Meeting the locals will remind us why Malawi is the land of ‘Smiles and Laughter’. (BD)
Day 14 Blantyre Malawi
After breakfast, we head to Blantyre, named after the birthplace of David Livingstone; the town is the crossroads to Mozambique. Evening to be spent in Blantyre. (BD)
Days 15 &16 Gorongosa National Park Mozambique
Today we cross into Mozambique, which has largely stayed untouched by modern day development, giving the traveller an opportunity to escape from the well-trodden trail. Our journey takes us to Gorongosa National Park in central Mozambique, which represents one of the great conservation opportunities in the world today. Gorongosa is a region of high species diversity and ecological features found no where else. The 4,000 square kilometre Park is located at the southern end of the Great East African Rift Valley. The region as a whole and the National Park are named after Gorongosa Mountain and reaching the summit of the mystical Gorongosa Mountain is like stepping through a portal into a hidden world. Our time is spent exploring this area on hikes as well as optional 4x4 game drives. (BLD)

Days 17 & 18 Vilanculos Mozambique
Vilanculos is a tropical paradise set in unspoilt beaches of sea, sun and white sands. This area has world-class beaches washed by the Indian Ocean’s warm waters. Take an optional trip to the Bazaruto Islands to snorkel, do a water-based activity or simply relax on the beach. (BD)
Days 19 & 20 Inhambane / Tofo Mozambique
Travelling south down the coast to Inhambane, we set up camp in the coastal village of Tofo. Time is spent at your own leisure, sipping cocktails at one of the many beach bars, walking along the long white beaches, deep sea fishing, quad bike trails or scuba diving for the more energetic. (BD)
Day 21 Maputo Mozambique
Leaving the peace and tranquillity of the beach behind, we continue onto the bustling Capital City of Maputo, where we have the afternoon to explore this city and its rich cultural history. With its attractive tree-lined avenues, it has a unique European feel about it and it has some great local restaurants. (B)
Days 22 & 23 Kruger National Park South Africa
We make our way to the famous Kruger National Park, where the scenery and wildlife will leave you in awe. We take time to enjoy the game drives, searching for the wide diversity of game that makes this Park so famous. We spend our evenings camping inside the Kruger Park, listening to the sounds of the wild and enjoying the tranquillity of the African bushveld. An optional night drive can be organised. (BD)
Day 24 Johannesburg South Africa
Rising early, we enjoy our final game drive before taking a relaxed drive back to Johannesburg, arriving late afternoon. (B)
